Average daycare waitlist time for infant room: 8-12 months. Toddler room: 4-6 months. I didn’t know infant room is longest because ratio 1:4 – only 8 babies per room.
Daycare waitlist trick: Ask “How many people on daycare waitlist for January 2026 infant room specifically? And how many left last January?” If 40 on list and only 6 left last year, you will wait 18 months, not 6.

I paid 3 deposits to be safe:
